A citizen raised concerns about the future of Gatineau arenas, specifically the Baribeau arena, and the potential loss of the Magnus community garden. The Commission noted that a public information session on arenas is scheduled for September 25 at the Maison du Citoyen.

The City is moving forward with a process to repurpose three surplus arenas: Campeau, Baribeau, and Beaudry. The City will launch a call for interest in December 2025 to find community or private partners to transform these sites, with a focus on financial viability, technical feasibility, and social impact. Open houses are scheduled for October 2025 to allow interested parties to visit the facilities.
