Council adopted a new bylaw to facilitate the creation of social rental housing. This follows a notice of motion given on December 10, 2024, and aligns with provincial legislation regarding municipal powers.

Council approved the financial and material support for the transitional housing project at the Robert-Guertin site. This includes a $1.5 million contribution from the homelessness aid reserve, the provision of the land (valued at $4 million), and municipal services valued at $25,000.
