The City Council discussed proposals to hold municipal council meetings outside of the Maison du Citoyen to increase accessibility for residents in the Aylmer, Buckingham, Gatineau, and Masson-Angers sectors. While some councillors argued this improves democratic engagement and visibility, others expressed concerns regarding costs, travel time, and the loss of a centralized, professional council chamber. The committee voted in favor of holding four off-site meetings between February and September 2025.
