CONSIDERING THAT under section 56 of the Loi sur les cités et villes (Cities and Towns Act), the council shall designate a councillor as acting mayor;

CONSIDERING THAT Mr. Daniel Champagne, appointed to this title, now fills the office of mayor following the resignation of Ms. France Bélisle;

CONSIDERING THAT it is necessary to proceed with the designation of a new councillor as acting mayor;

CONSIDERING THAT under section 2 of the Charte de la Ville de Gatineau (Charter of the City of Gatineau), the acting mayor is elected for 12 months or until their replacement:
