Scientific Council: Priority Research Themes for 2024

The City of Gatineau is establishing a Scientific Council to provide expert data and guidance to city officials. The committee reviewed and supported four priority research themes for 2024: artificial intelligence, housing and homelessness, climate change/biodiversity protection, and smart transportation/sustainable mobility. This initiative aims to provide evidence-based insights to support municipal decision-making without replacing the authority of elected officials.
