This presentation focuses on a collective impact initiative funded by the federal New Horizons for Seniors Program. The project aims to make Gatineau more inclusive for vulnerable seniors who are at risk of social isolation or exclusion.

The commission reviewed its 2026 work plan, which focuses on three main areas: the Integrated Action Plan for Families, Seniors, and People with Disabilities; social participation; and the New Horizons for Seniors Program. The commission recommended that City Council adopt this plan.

The commission received a presentation on the Collective Impact Plan for the New Horizons for Seniors Program. The project aims to improve the quality of life for vulnerable seniors through 15 sub-projects, involving 550 volunteers and targeting approximately 7,000 seniors. The discussion covered the role of collaborative organizations, the innovation laboratory, and the importance of social economy and digital literacy.

The committee will discuss the launch of a project aimed at supporting vulnerable seniors in Gatineau. This initiative is funded through the federal New Horizons for Seniors Program and focuses on social inclusion.
