"Saint-Joseph Boulevard"

The City is moving forward with the next phase of the Saint-Joseph Boulevard redevelopment project, which includes infrastructure upgrades, utility burial, and streetscape improvements between Alexandre-Taché Boulevard and Montcalm Street. Because the City could not reach voluntary agreements with property owners for the necessary land and utility easements, the Executive Committee has authorized the legal expropriation process. This project is essential for the planned 2027 construction work in collaboration with Hydro-Québec.

Council authorized the purchase of approximately 3,663 m² of land from the National Capital Commission (NCC) for $1,005,000. This land, part of Parc des Chars-de-Combat, is required for the ongoing redevelopment of Saint-Joseph Boulevard, which includes infrastructure upgrades and utility burial.

The City is granting an easement to Hydro-Québec on a portion of land to facilitate the redevelopment of Boulevard Saint-Joseph. This is a necessary step for utility infrastructure adjustments related to the road project.
