AUTHORIZATION TO HOLD AN EVENT - NIGHT OF THE HOMELESS - REGULATORY EXEMPTION

CONSIDERING THAT the City has adopted a reference framework and an action plan regarding homelessness;

CONSIDERING THAT orientation 4 of the homelessness reference framework promotes collaboration between local organizations and the City of Gatineau;

CONSIDERING THAT an awareness evening regarding the homeless will take place on October 17, 2025, at parc Sainte-Bernadette. This event is also taking place in more than 30 cities across Quebec;

CONSIDERING THAT the organizers of this activity are requesting the collaboration of the City of Gatineau;

CONSIDERING THAT this event requires an exemption from Règlement numéro 42-2003 concerning the maintenance of public peace and good order and from Règlement numéro 44-2003 concerning noise within the territory of the City of Gatineau:

PROPOSED AND UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED THAT this committee authorizes the holding of the Nuit des sans-abri event which will take place at parc Sainte-Bernadette on October 17, 2025, between 4:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., as well as dismantling until 2:00 a.m. on the morning of October 18, and granting an exemption from Règlement numéro 42-2003 and Règlement numéro 44-2003.
