CONSIDERING THAT due to the discovery of soil contamination more significant than expected in the basement of 205, rue Montcalm, this level of contamination has a significant impact on the initial scope of the building restoration project;
CONSIDERING THAT article 2125 of the Civil Code of Quebec allows the City, as a client, to unilaterally terminate a contract, even if the execution of the work or the provision of the service has already begun;
CONSIDERING THAT article 2129 of the Civil Code of Quebec requires that the City, as a client, be held to pay the firm the value of the services rendered before the end of the contract or before the notification of the termination:
