Heritage – Renovation of a main building – 109 Wright Street – Hull-Wright electoral district – Steve Moran

Questions, answers, and comments were formulated, concerning among other things:

• It is estimated that the proposed colors, off-white and black, are highly contrasting;
• The objective is to reflect the original materials and colors;
• It is requested to suggest that the applicant review the color of the green architectural fences on the East and North elevations of building B, to a light gray.

CONSIDERING THAT an authorization request for exterior renovation work on the main building located at 109 Wright Street has been submitted;

CONSIDERING THAT exterior renovation work is subject to municipal council approval, pursuant to the Règlement constituant le site du patrimoine Kent-Aubry-Wright numéro 2195;

CONSIDERING THAT the proposed renovation work aims to preserve the architectural characteristics of the building and enhance it to ensure its longevity;

CONSIDERING THAT the proposed renovation work respects the majority of the applicable objectives and evaluation criteria of the Règlement constituant le site du patrimoine Kent-Aubry-Wright numéro 2195;

CONSEQUENTLY, this Committee recommends that the council approve, pursuant to the Règlement constituant le site du patrimoine Kent-Aubry-Wright numéro 2195, a project at 109 Wright Street to renovate the main building, as illustrated in the project analysis in the following documents:

• Site plan with location of work to be carried out – Confluence Architecture – April 4, 2024 – 109 Wright Street – Annotated by the SUDD;
• Proposed renovation work – Confluence Architecture – March 26, 2024 – 109 Wright Street – Annotated by the SUDD;
• Example of proposed windows, fences, and materials – Confluence Architecture – March 26, 2024 – 109 Wright Street – Annotated by the SUDD;
• Proposed exterior drainage work – Confluence Architecture – March 26, 2024 – 109 Wright Street – Annotated by the SUDD.

CONSIDERING THAT an authorization request for exterior renovation work on the main building has been submitted for the property located at 148-150 Notre-Dame-de-l’Île Street;

CONSIDERING THAT exterior renovation work is subject to municipal council approval, pursuant to the Règlement constituant le Site patrimonial du Quartier-du-Musée numéro 512-5-2018;

CONSIDERING THAT exterior renovation work is subject to municipal council approval, pursuant to the Règlement relatif aux plans d’implantation et d’intégration architecturale numéro 505-2005;

CONSIDERING THAT the proposed renovation work aims to restore the architectural characteristics of the building and enhance it to ensure its longevity;

CONSIDERING THAT the proposed renovation work respects the majority of the applicable objectives and evaluation criteria of the Règlement relatif aux plans d’implantation et d’intégration architecturale numéro 505-2005;

CONSIDERING THAT the proposed renovation work respects the majority of the applicable objectives and evaluation criteria of the Règlement constituant le Site patrimonial du Quartier-du-Musée numéro 512-5-2018;

CONSEQUENTLY, this Committee recommends that the council approve, pursuant to the Règlement relatif aux plans d'implantation et d'intégration architecturale numéro 505-2005 and the Règlement constituant le Site patrimonial du Quartier-du-Musée numéro 512-5-2018, a project at 148-150 Notre-Dame-de-l’Île Street to restore the brick cladding of the exterior walls and replace the two front doors, as illustrated in the project analysis in the document:

• Proposed work – Roger Bussières, arpenteur-géomètre (annotated by the SUDD) – January 26, 2004 – 148-150 Notre-Dame-de-l’Île Street.

PIIA – Replacement of roof covering – 156 Notre-Dame-de-l’Île Street – Hull-Wright electoral district – Steve Moran

Questions, answers, and comments were formulated, concerning among other things:

• It is requested to verify when the roof vents and ventilation flap appeared. These elements did not exist at the beginning of the century. It is requested to verify if there are modern elements with an older style that would do the same job;
• The two skylights already existed and can be visible from the street.

• Proposed work and materials – Cossette toiture – October 24, 2023 – 156 Notre-Dame-de-l’Île Street.
