CONSIDERING that a request to demolish a detached single-family home was submitted for the property at 3, rue du Centre; CONSIDERING that the building is not listed in the 'City of Gatineau Traditional Built Heritage Inventory – 2025'; CONSIDERING that the building has stability and infiltration issues affecting its condition; CONSIDERING that the proposed reuse of the cleared land consists of building two four-unit multi-family dwellings, in accordance with the densification objectives of the current urban plan; CONSIDERING that the reuse program is not subject to discretionary authorization; CONSIDERING that the Demolition Committee (CDD) may set conditions for the issuance of a demolition certificate; CONSIDERING that the Committee considered all evaluation criteria under Bylaw 900-2021; CONSIDERING that no opposition was received following the public notice on January 14, 2026; AND RESOLVED that this Committee approves the demolition of the detached single-family home at 3, rue du Centre under Bylaw 900-2021.
