CTDDS Recommendations:

The Commission on Transportation, Sustainable Mobility, and Safety recommends that the Gatineau City Council: 1.1.1 Continue the development of the remaining cycling links planned in the Plan directeur du réseau cyclable (Cycling Network Master Plan) for the 2019-2024 period; 1.1.2 Contribute to the completion of the 5 prioritized "Partner" cycling projects; 1.2 Carry out the renovation of cycling links deemed "Urgent" and "Priority"; 1.3 Carry out improvements to identified priority cycling links; 1.4 Continue other investments in the cycling environment; 2. Recommendation:

The Urban Planning and Sustainable Development Department (SUDD) recommends the submission to City Council of Amendment Bylaw 900-1-2024 amending Règlement 900-2021 to regulate the demolition of buildings on the territory of the City of Gatineau, in order to better target and clarify the intentions and rules governing a demolition request.

Following a question and comment period, members agreed with the recommendation after reviewing the timeline for the availability of SUDD analyses on the City's website. The notice of motion and the draft bylaw will be presented on October 22.
