CONSIDERING THAT a request to authorize new detached commercial signs has been submitted for the property located at 705 Davidson Street West;
CONSIDERING THAT the request aims to install a new detached commercial sign (Sign A) located along Davidson Street West;
CONSIDERING THAT the request also aims to modify an existing detached commercial sign (highway sign B) located along the Highway 50 right-of-way;
CONSIDERING THAT the project respects the majority of the applicable objectives and evaluation criteria of the Règlement relatif aux plans d’implantation et d’intégration architecturale numéro 505.1-2011, for intervention projects in certain commercial zones;
CONSIDERING THAT the project complies with the provisions of the Règlement de zonage numéro 532-2020 in force, except for the regulatory provisions for which minor variances are requested (excess surface areas of detached commercial signs);
CONSIDERING THAT the project may be carried out, in whole or in part, depending on whether or not the minor variances requested from the municipal council are approved following its decisions;
CONSEQUENTLY, this Committee recommends that the council approve, pursuant to the Règlement relatif aux plans d’implantation et d’intégration architecturale pour des projets d’intervention dans certaines zones commerciales 505.1-2005, a project at 705 Davidson Street West, aiming to install a new detached sign and enlarge a second one, as illustrated in the project analysis in the documents:
- Plans and perspective of Sign A – Davidson Street West – SLON Enseignes, January 24, 2023 – 705 Davidson Street West, Gatineau, 2 pages;
- Plans and perspective of Sign B – Highway 50 – August 23, 2024 – 695 Davidson Street West, Gatineau, 3 pages.
It is understood that the realization of the project also requires approval by the council of the minor variances raised and presented in this project analysis.

CONSIDERING THAT a request for authorization concerning exterior repair work on the main building has been submitted for the property located at 172 Notre-Dame-de-l’Île Street;
CONSIDERING THAT the exterior renovation work is subject to approval by the municipal council, pursuant to the Règlement constituant le site patrimonial du Quartier-du-Musée numéro 512-5-2018 and pursuant to the Règlement relatif aux plans d’implantation et d’intégration architecturale numéro 505-2005;
CONSIDERING THAT the proposed renovation work aims to restore the architectural characteristics of the building and highlight it to ensure its durability;
CONSIDERING THAT the proposed renovation work respects the majority of the applicable objectives and evaluation criteria of the Règlement constituant le site patrimonial du Quartier-du-Musée numéro 512-5-2018 and the Règlement relatif aux plans d’implantation et d’intégration architecturale numéro 505-2005;
CONSEQUENTLY, this Committee recommends that the council approve, pursuant to the Règlement relatif aux plans d'implantation et d'intégration architecturale numéro 505-2005 and the Règlement constituant le Site patrimonial du Quartier-du-Musée numéro 512-5-2018, a project at 172 Notre-Dame-de-l’Île Street, in order to repair stone cladding, as illustrated in the project analysis in the document:
- Proposed repair work – DLS construction – Annotated by the Service de l’urbanisme et du développement durable (SUDD) – 172 Notre-Dame-de-l’Île Street.
