The inventory of traditional built heritage in the Aylmer sector includes 579 buildings. The inventory for the Masson-Angers sector will be completed at the end of the summer, and the Gatineau and Buckingham sectors in the fall. Questions, answers, and comments were formulated regarding, among other things:
- The colossal work done in this heritage-rich sector is highlighted;
- It is highlighted that the Auberge Symmes is the only building to have obtained an exceptional heritage value. Yet, this building was ravaged by fire in the 1990s and had to be more than 80% reconstructed. This goes to show that it is worth paying attention to heritage.
