CONSIDERING THAT the Government of Canada sent a letter of approval in principle for financial assistance to the City of Gatineau under the Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund (DMAF) on June 25, 2019, for the financing of 40% of eligible expenses for the Wabassee Creek watershed project, up to a maximum contribution of $22,510,000;

CONSIDERING THAT, by Decree number 1359-2025 of November 12, 2025, the Government of Quebec approved the Canada-Quebec Agreement for the Wabassee Creek watershed project under the DMAF, which provides for federal funding of $22,510,000;

CONSIDERING THAT, by Decree number 1360-2025 of November 12, 2025, the Government of Quebec authorized the Minister of Municipal Affairs to grant a subsidy of a maximum amount of $45,020,000 to the City, of which $22,510,000 comes from the Government of Quebec and $22,510,000 comes from the federal government;

CONSIDERING THAT the City received, on February 18, 2026, the grant agreement regarding the granting by the Minister of Municipal Affairs of a subsidy of a maximum amount of $45,020,000 for the Wabassee Creek watershed project;

CONSIDERING THAT a copy of this agreement must be duly signed and returned to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs so that the City of Gatineau can benefit from the financial assistance:
